Destinie S. Daniels, 24, has been identified as the woman found dead inside a downtown Quincy apartment, as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Daniels was discovered Thursday night inside an apartment in the former downtown post office building at 200 N. 8th Street. Police responded after her body was found at the location.
Identity Confirmed in Quincy Investigation
Adams County Coroner Scott Graham said Daniels’ identity was established through preliminary findings, along with information provided by family members and witnesses.
The Coroner’s Office has also obtained dental records as part of the identification process and is awaiting an examination by a forensic odontologist.
Additional testing could be carried out as investigators work to establish what happened.
Cause of Death Remains Pending
The official cause of Daniels’ death has not yet been determined.
