Brandon Miller, a 38-year-old Columbus, Ohio, man, died Thursday night after being struck by a northbound SUV while he was in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71 in Morrow County.
The fatal incident happened around 10:23 p.m. on September 24, 2026, near milepost 147 in Harmony Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Investigators said Miller was standing in the roadway when he was hit by a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse traveling northbound.
The SUV was driven by 42-year-old Brandon Diguilio of North Ridgeville. According to the highway patrol, Diguilio remained at the scene and was not injured in the collision.
Morrow County EMS responded to the crash, but Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several local agencies assisted following the incident, including the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Big Walnut Joint Fire District, Morrow County Fire Department, Prosecutor’s Office, and Coroner.
