Sara Ellen “Sallye” Kiper, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister from Richmond, Kentucky, died peacefully on September 23, 2026, at the age of 73, with her family by her side.
Born on March 22, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, Sallye spent her life building close relationships with the people around her. Her passing leaves behind her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, and a wider circle of relatives and friends.

Sallye was the daughter of Wanda Head Cubbage Kinser and Thomas Hunter Cubbage, both of whom preceded her in death.
She married Marvin Kiper Jr., who survives her. Together, they raised three children: Jeremy Kiper, Ellen Kiper Keeton, and Kayden Elizabeth.

A memorial service for Sara Ellen “Sallye” Kiper will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Richmond.
Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
The church is located at 425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
The gathering will give family members, friends, and others who knew Sallye an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
